Bachpan Bachao Andolan Contact Number: Bachpan Bachao Andolan or BBA is a movement for children. It began in the year 1980 by Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, a Nobel prize winner in 2014. The Andolan aims at stopping bonded labor, child labor, and human trafficking. The same Andolan includes the demand for the right to education for all the children. The campaign has provided the freedom to approximately 86,000 children from bonded labor.

Aim of Bachpan Bachao Andolan:

Bachpan Bachao Andolan works in a child-friendly environment where children are given education and rehabilitated. The exploited children then have given free education and equal rights. It has provided independence to children and brought in them the feeling of liberation, freedom of thought, and confidence to identify unique from others.

The Principle of Which BBA Works:

Prevention: Prevention is an optimistic idea of Kailash Satyarthi. Several public campaigns and efforts are made to resolve the issues of child labor so that maximum people can come up and take initiative to give a little bit in changing the thought-process of employers as well as parents.  BBA commenced Bal Mitra Gram for removing ill-practice like child labor forever. The program makes a search for such villages where child labor does not exist at all and children are sent to school and they participate in the public assembly.

Protection: Protection is given to children; Indian legislative facilities are used for removing the practices such as child labor, child trafficking. Several campaigns are held for tightening and developing legislation. BBA workers collect fines from those who are involved in child labor and human trafficking

Rehabilitation: This strategy is used for ensuring that rehabilitation is the government’s responsibility. It is one of the key factors when it is to take legal action against children as sufferers of child abuse, child trafficking, and child labor. In the case of child labor, the employer needs to pay a fine of Rs 20,000 and another Rs 20,000 as compensation from the Government.
