History Of Bajaj Auto: Bajaj origin is in India, it was founded in the year 1944 as M/s Bachraj Trading Corporation Private Limited. The objective to start this company was to sell imported two-wheeler and Three-Wheelers in India. Looking at the response of Indian customers Bajaj then planned of manufacturing these vehicles in India itself. Executing on the plan in the year 1959, the company acquired a license from the Government of India to manufacture vehicles.
And then the oldest manufacturing plant of Bajaj was established in Akurdi state Maharashtra. Presently, this unit is used for research and development of Bajaj vehicles. Other than Akurdi, Bajaj has three more manufacturing plant Chakan near Pune state Maharashtra, Waluj near Aurangabad state Maharashtra and Pantnagar state Uttarakhand.
From its origin to date, Bajaj has achieved many milestones and have become one of the most trusted and used brand internationally. In the year 1986, Bajaj touched another milestone by launching Motorbikes. Before, 1986 Bajaj was manufacturing and distributing scooters and two-wheelers. With the launch of Motorbike, Bajaj changed its image and created history.
In motorbike, Bajaj Pulsar was a big hit in the Indian market. Pulsar was known for its fuel efficiency and pickup. Other successful motorbikes of Bajaj are CT100, Discover, Platina and Avenger
In terms of exporting two-wheelers and three-wheelers, Bajaj is the largest exporter. According to data, 37 percent sale of Bajaj comes from export and 47 percent of its two and three-wheelers are exported in Africa. It is also one of the largest exporters of the three-wheeler vehicle internationally. Presently, Bajaj has its presence in over 50 countries.
