ICSE Class 10th Result 2023-24: Council for the Indian school certificate examination is a national board and various schools across India are following the syllabus of ICSE in their school. We bring to your kind notice that my daughter studying St.Francis Xaviers Girls High School, Banagalore. She has promoted and got the result during May 2015. Her Unique ID is 5960805 appeared for the ICSE Board Exam during April 2014-15, got the result during May 2015. She got 69 out of 100 in Science (Physics, Biology and Chemistry) She has done her project (internal) each i.e. physics, bio, and chemistry for 20 marks each. We assure you sir that the practical records were furnished/presented very beautiful and meaningfully. The presentation was too good. Especially Biology Practaical diagrams were too good because being I am in a teaching profession, I personally sit with my daughter and supervised her all projects by helping her morally. Worse come worse if the school gives 15 out 20 for each phy, che, bio, it should be 45 marks. Remaining all the 3 paperes were set for 80 each by the board. So is my daughter only capable of scoring 8 out of 80 on bio, chem and physics? because she scored only 69 out of 100. At any cost practical she should get atleast 18 out of 20, but i am calculating average 15 out of 20, So the marks for science given by you I am calculating as below : We are surprised to note how this 69 out 100 arrived for my daughter in science.
Bio Practical at her school……………………. 15 out of 20 (Internal)
Chemistry ” 15 out of 20 ( ” )
Physics ” 15 out of 20 ( ” )

Total Internal or practical is
given by the school is …… 45 marks (because school claims that they give full marks ie., 20 out 20 for practical or internal) but we have taken only 15 out of 20 each.
Board set the papers
for all the 3 papers for bio, che, phy is for 80 marks each. So if I calculate her marks you have given 8 out of 80 for all the 3 papers where it arrives 24 for 3 papers. So school given for internal 15×3=45 + 8 out of 80 multiplied by 3subjects = 24
Total marks she scored in science is 45 internal plus board marks 24= 69
Sir, at any cost my daughter is not at all poor in studies. because core subject maths she scored 92 out of 100, kannada 96 out of 100 so and so…. Sir, Is she only capable of scoring 8 out 80?? When i went for admission for a reputed colleges, after seeing her Maths marks they are shocked to see her science marks. In Mathematics she has scored 92 out 100. Wen I approached her school they have not co-operated in this regard. Keeping high moto we put our children for ICSE Board, but it is very much DE-moralised and depressed for my daughter and the entire family. Still she could not come out of the shock. She is very upset and disappointed sir. All the colleges wherever we went for admission, nobody is agreeting that she scored 69 in science whereas she scored 92 in maths. We are not worried about other subjects. But we strongly believe some calculation or totaling is went wrong.
