Message: On 12/5/2015, I aproached J&K Bank CG Road, Ahmedabad for opening FD of Rs. 5,00,000/=( Rupees Five lacs), concerned lady Asstt. handedover me form which was duly filed in on the spot, since proof of address appearing on Govt.of India card was appearing, even though she said either Adhar card or Election card must be produced.
Today i.e. 8.6.2105, I again approached J&K Bank CG Road, Ahmedabad alongwith all the required documents . On going through the form concerned Dealing Asstt. desired that if I intend to have the nominee name it should be signed by any of the witness. I met personally Branch Manager, J&K CG Road, Ahmedabad for doing the needful he also expressed that Brnach will proceed further only when the form duly declared nominee is witnessed. I persuad him that no any bank including SBI, PVt bank i.e. Asix Bank, HDFC, ICICI Bank insist that nominee portion should be witnessed by third person.
I personally believe by gaining experience that when applicant who is producing the Election card / I.Tax proof of of spouse , the bank should not insist that nominee portion should be signed by third person.
Under the circumstances narrated above, the J&K Bank is loosing the valuable customers like me. I may mention here that no any other Public or pvt bank insist for third persons signature for nominee purpose.
The issue require rethought/ questionable by the Branch Manager, J&K Bank Ahmedabad when too much competition even door to door FD collection is offferred by major Public as well as pvt bank, even i have already availed door to door form collection by deputing concerned Bank’s executive Looking to above aspect, I plea for necessary inquiry from J&K CG Road, Ahmedabad. If this type of practice is continued Bank may loose handsome customers.
