Mahesh Babu Early Life:
Mahesh Babu was born on 9 August 1975 in a Telugu family located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His parents Krishna and Indira gave birth to five children and he is the fourth one. Their family belongs to Burripalem in the Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. Most of his time was spent in Madras under his maternal grandmother Durgamma. Mahesh loves to play cricket since his childhood days.
He completed his school education at St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai. He was a brilliant student and acquired a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. After completing his graduation, he met with the director L. Satyanand in Vishakhapatnam to seek training in acting for 3-4 months.
Personal Life of Mahesh Babu:
During the shooting of the film Vamsi in Australia, Babu started dating with his co-star Namrata Shirodkar. They both were in a relationship for four years and they got married. The couple married 10 February 2005 at the Marriott Hotel, Mumbai during the shooting of Athadu. Namrata gave birth to a boy Gautham Krishna in 2006 and in 2012, she became the mother of a daughter Sitara.

Acting Career:
Mahesh Babu made his first screen appearance as a child artist in the movie Needa in 1979. He also performed as a child artist in movies such as Shankharavam (1987), Bazaar Rowdy (1988), Mugguru Kodukulu (1988) and Gudachari 117 (1989). He also played a double role in Koduku Diddina Kapuram in1989. He also appeared in Bala Chandrudu in 1990 and Anna Thammudu in the same year. He continued his college studies along with acting.
In 1999, Mahesh appeared in the movie Raja Kumarudu with Preity Zinta. directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and co-starring Priety Zinta. The film was successful and people started calling him Prince after the release of the movie. In the following year, he was seen in two more movies – Yuvaraju and Vamsi. He was then seen in Murari, which became a commercial success.
In 2002, he did Takkari Donga and Bobby, both movies unable to perform well at the box office.
Year 2003, he did the movie Okkadu co-starring Bhumika Chawla, which became the highest grossing Telugu film at the box office. The next release was Teja’s Nijam co-starring Rakshita and Babu was praised for his performance in the film.
Year 2004 – 2010:
He next appeared in Naani co-starring Amisha Patel. Though, the film was unable to produce good results. He next appeared in Arjun and Athadu. Out of these two, Athadu increased his career graph. The movie also earned ₹22 crores at the box office. He turned out to be the stylish and brilliant professional killer with Athadu.
Year 2006 brought his movie Pokiri, produced by Jagannadh and Manjula. The movie became the highest grossing Telugu film and was also screened at the 7th IIFA Awards held in Dubai.
He next appeared in the film Athidhi, co-starring Amrita Rao marking her Telugu debut. After taking a break of seven months, he appeared in Khaleja which was a commercial failure.
In 2011, Mahesh collaborated with Srinu Vaitla for the film Dookudu with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film received the highest-grossing films of the year.
He later played the role of a gangster in a movie with Kajal Aggarwal
He then produced a multi-starrer film Srikanth Addala’s Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu in 2013
