Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti: Budget of 2015 brought a light of hopes among people who are financially weak in our society. Now, it is the time for Government to bring those promises into action. Prime Minister of India Shri.NarendraModi, will takeoff three pension schemes on May 9, 2015 from Kolkata. These schemes were announced during budget. The insurance and pension schemes that are to be launched are Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) for accidental death and disability, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) for Life insurance and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) for pension.

Under PradhanMantriSurakshaBimaYojana (PMSBY), bank saving account holder has to pay the premium of 12 Rs/annumfor single account and he/she will get the accidental death or disability coverage of 2 Lakhs Rs. It would be 1 Lakh in-case of partial permanent disability. This scheme will beoffered to 18-70 age group people via public sector general insurance companies (PSGICs) and different General Insurance Companies who can provide the services on the terms of PradhanMantriSurakshaBimaYojana.

On the other hand under PradhanMantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY) subscriber will pay the premium of 330 Rs/annum for single policy and will get the one year life coverage of 2 Lakh Rs. LIC and similar body will offer this scheme to people of age group18-50.

Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a pension scheme for unorganized sector in which subscriber will get the fixed pension of 1000-5000 depending on contribution subscriber is making. The contribution period will be maximum 20 years and payee will start getting the pension after 60 years of age. The defined age for applying in this scheme is 18-40 years.

In all three schemes subscriber has to have bank saving account linked with aadhaar card. Interested candidate can contact their respective back for applying in scheme and bank will provide all necessary details for that. In insurance account, bank will auto-debit the premium from subscriber’s saving account annually. On the other hand, for pension scheme subscriber has to fill the concern form for auto-debit of premium every month.

If in case subscriber does not hold saving account then, to apply in scheme they first have to open a saving account in bank of their choice and then they can apply for scheme.

The mandatory things for applying in scheme areaadhaar card linked bank saving account, application of scheme, phone number and amount for initial deposit. All three schemes will be open for subscription from June 1 2015 and initially all subscribers will be exempted from requirement of disclosing their current health status.
