Tendulkar was born in Mumbai, India on 24 April 1973 in a Rajapur Saraswat Brahmin Maharashtrian Family. His father, Ramesh Tendulkar, was a Marathi novelist & poet. His mother Rajni, worked in the insurance industry. He has three elder siblings including two half-brothers Nitin and Ajit, and a half-sister Savita.
As a young boy, he lived in Sahitya Saha was the Cooperative Housing Society in Bandra (East). Besides cricket, he also showed an interest in tennis. He was introduced to Ramakant Achrekar, a famous cricket coach at Shivaji Park, Dadar. He shifted his schooling to Sharadashram Vidyamandir (English) High School and produced various notable cricketers. Sachin appeared in the school team in the Matunga Gujarati Seva Mandal (MGSM) Shield and also played club cricket representing John Bright Cricket Club and later went on to play for the Cricket Club of India. In 1987, at the age of 14, he attended the MRF Pace Foundation in Madras to train as a fast bowler, but the Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee. In 1988, Tendulkar scored a century in every innings he played. In 1987 the 14-year-old Tendulkar was chosen for Ranji Trophy for 1987–88 season
Tendulkar was married to Anjali in 1995. She was the former pediatrician. They both have two children, Arjun and Sara.
In the mid of all of all this, he gave the best performances on the international stage for almost 20 years. He was also playing across generations. In the mid of the adulation, the transition period happened in his life and he became the complete batsman of his times. He mingled his natural talent with dedication and polished like a diamond. This rare blend of dedication made him Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. His huge popularity made him the richest and most powerful in the world. In this country, where he was inclined to cricket, Tendulkar gave people a wonderful cricket from a sport in the subcontinent.
He owns the batting record including both Test and ODI cricket, the hundreds in the two formats, and various centuries in international cricket. Though he started his ODI career, Tendulkar was sent to New Zealand in 1994. He acquired 49 ODI hundreds, showcasing his second-best by 19 hundred.
He has seen six World Cup appearances from 1992 to 2011, in which he made two appearances in the final (2003 and 2011). Finally, received a coveted trophy in Mumbai in April 2011
Despite of all the failures in his career, his performances were wonderful to ignore. In his two World Cup appearances, he received appreciable scores in 2003 and 2011. His wonderful performance in the course of tournaments brought India to the final. In the 2003 edition of the tournament, Tendulkar scored 673 runs in the tournament in World Cup tournament. Furthermore, in India’s 2011 World Cup campaign, India became the highest run-scorer and the second-highest overall with 482 runs in the tournament.
