TVS tyres TVS Tyre Customer Care Number: A History of TVS Tyre Is Here! TVS Motor Company is the third-largest company for manufacturing two-wheelers in India. This company is a member of the TVS group in size as well as annual turnover. There are above twenty-eight plus customer all over India running TVS bike. This company is established by Mr TV Sundaram Iyengar who started with the Madurai’s bus service in 1911. He founded T.V.Sundaram Iyengar and Sons Limited and lead the company to a transportation business with a large number of trucks and buses under Southern Roadways Limited. After his death in 1955, his family took the company to the automobile sector comprises of finance, manufacturing, insurance, tyres of two-wheelers and so many components.

First 100 Years of the Company:

In 1962, Sundaram Clayton gets into collaboration with Clayton Dewandre Holdings, UK and manufactured compressors, exhausts, brakes and various automotive parts. Company has made a plant at Hosur in the year 1978 with the purpose to manufacture mopeds. Another collaboration took amongst Sundaram Clayton Ltd and Suzuki Motor Corporation and this leads to the manufacturing of motorcycles in the year 1984.

A connection Between TVS and Suzuki & Split:

There has been a connection between TVS and Suzuki for about 19 years with the aim to create technology with the aim to manufacture two-wheelers for India marketplace. After that, emerged TVS-Suzuki which brought various models like Samurai, Shaolin, Supra, and Shogun. But in 2001, Suzuki and TVS have parted the ways and company was renamed as TVS Motor and lead to relinquishing the rights for using Suzuki name.

Company’s Status In the Current Time:

The current status of the company is quite high. It has brought a big range of products in the category of the three-wheeler segment. The recent launch includes TVS Victor, RTR 200, and TVS XL 100. TVS has awarded many times. Like in year 2016, it has bagged 4 awards at J.D. Power Asia Pacific Award. It has received 3 awards again at J.D. Power Asia Pacific Awards year 2015 and many more for manufacturing of two-wheelers.
