- Citizens of India
- Subjects of Bhutan or Nepal
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling
- Persons of Indian Origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling can apply for UPSC IES / ISS 2023.

Educational Qualification:
- For Indian Economic Service Posts: All the applicants should have the Post Graduate degree in BE-Business Economics /Economics / Applied Economics/ Econometric from any certified/recognized University.
- Indian Statistical Service Posts: All the Applicants should hold a Graduation degree in Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics/ Statistics/ or a Master’s degree in the Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from the Certified university.
Physical Fitness Standard

Application Fee
- Candidates shall pay the fee of Rs.200/- by depositing the cash in any SBI branch, by using SBI, the State Bank of Bikaner or the Hyderabad / State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala and Travancore’s State or Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card in any SBI branch. Candidates exempt from payments for a fee are subject to a charge.
- Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of a fee.
- Applicants choosing “Pay by Cash” should print out the Pay-In-Slip produced scheme during Part II registration and only deposit the fee with the SBI Branch counter on the following business day. The’ Pay by Cash ‘ modes will be deactivated one day before the closing date, 23.69 hours in April 2023. Nevertheless, candidates who have generated a pay-in slip before it is deactivated can pay during banking hours on the closing date at the SBI Branch counter.
